Matt Chance joined the staff of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children as Senior Vice President of Operations in 2015. In his role, Matt has oversight of all the clinical, ancillary, nonclinical support and IT aspects of the day-to-day operations of the hospital, and works closely with the physicians and staff to ensure every Scottish Rite Hospital patient receives clinical and service excellence. 
 


Matt earned his undergraduate degree from Austin College and a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University. Prior to joining Scottish Rite Hospital, Matt served as Chief Executive Officer of Baylor Medical Center at Uptown and in various operational roles at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and with the Veterans Affairs North Texas Health Care System. 



Matt is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is a past President of the ACHE of North Texas chapter. He is currently a member of the Texas Hospital Association’s (THA) Leadership Fellow program and serves on THA’s Endorsed Partner Advisory Committee. Matt was a volunteer at Scottish Rite Hospital for many years, is a past President of the Scottish Rite Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary and is a Mason (member of the Knox-Corinthian Lodge #851).
