What is your role at Scottish Rite for Children? 
I am a physician assistant (PA) in the Hand department. I see clinic patients, alone and alongside Dr. Oishi and Dr. Stutz. I work with patients to manage care, develop treatment plans, including surgery and therapy programs, as well as minor procedures in clinic. On surgery days, I assist with the pre and post-op care of our patient and their parents. 

What do you enjoy most about Scottish Rite?
I love the teamwork our organization has. Everyone is so nice, willing to help and will teach when it is needed. I am very fortunate with our hand team. From our nurses to research coordinator, child life, clinical staff and child psychologist - we all work well together and have fun doing it. 
 
What was your first job? What path did you take to get here? 
My first job was a sports camp counselor and during the summer, I would nanny kids. I first started as a PA in family practice, which allowed me to learn autonomy and patient care. I always wanted to work at Scottish Rite because of the mission and passion for their patients. I have been working here for one year. 

What’s the coolest or most interesting thing you’re working on right now?
I am working on a research project to evaluate the outcomes of thumb reconstruction for patients with congenital thumb hypoplasia. I also enjoy working with our brachial plexus children.

What are you currently watching on Netflix/Hulu/TV/etc.? 
When we have time to watch TV, we watch Ozark. 

What would be the most amazing adventure to go on?
I would love to go to a World Cup final game, outside of the USA. That type of atmosphere and energy would be a lot of fun. 

What are some small things that make your day better?
My children. They are loud, energetic, funny and at times overwhelming - but will always make you laugh and smile. 

What is special about the place you grew up?
I grew up living close to my grandparents. I was able to spend the night with them, go fishing and eat ice cream. Being able to spend that time with them created a special bond between us.

What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not working? 
My entire family loves being outdoors. We play soccer, hike, go on night bike rides and work out.
