O.I. Coordinated Care Center

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children is a renowned pediatric orthopedic facility that cares for children and adolescents with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (O.I.). With the wide variety of clinical presentations with this condition, the medical staff recognizes the importance of customized care for each patient. Our interdisciplinary O.I. team has expertise in pediatric orthopedic and spinal surgery, metabolic bone disease, and dental needs, with extensive ancillary support from clinical psychologists, child life specialists, certified orthotics, clinical dietitians, and occupational and physical therapists. 

Our coordinated care center includes:

  • Surgical and non-surgical management of skeletal and non-skeletal issues
  • Enhancing metabolic bone condition, with infusions when needed
  • Maximizing mobility
  • Dental care
  • Nutrition counseling 
  • Addressing psychological concerns
