Get to Know our SRH Staff: Nitara Richards, Ambulatory Care

What is your role at the hospital? 
I am a licensed vocational nurse that works in the Infusion/Rheumatology clinics at the Frisco campus. I help our rheumatology patients to a speedy remission.
What led you to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children? How long have you worked here?
I have been at the hospital since November 2018, so just a couple of months now. I had heard many great things and I really wanted to be a part of the organization.
What do you enjoy most about Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children?
This is a great place to work! They are great to all of the employees and everyone here is so nice.  
What was your first job? What path did you take to get here?
My first job was at Chick-fil-A. After that, I went to school to become a medical assistant.
What do you like to do in your spare time? 
I enjoy working out.
Three words to best describe you: 
Adaptable, considerate and ambitious
What would you do (for a career) if you weren’t doing this?
I think I would want to be a personal trainer
What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? 
I traveled to Sweden and did a rooftop walking tour on an incredibly small walking path.
