What is your role at the hospital? What do you do on a daily basis? 
I am a physical therapist, assistant technology professional (ATP) and the center coordinator of clinical education for physical therapy students. Currently, I work primarily with our patients in the outpatient setting. My ATP certification allows me to work closely with our patients that have custom equipment needs - manual wheelchairs, power wheelchairs, gait trainers, etc. 
 
What do you enjoy most about Scottish Rite for Children?
I enjoy that we are given the opportunity to do whatever is medically best for the child and their family, regardless of the parent’s ability to pay. I thoroughly appreciate helping a patient succeed at a goal they have set for themselves.
 
What was your first job? How long have you worked here?
My first job was as a waitress at Western Sizzlin’ in my hometown of Amarillo. I have worked at the hospital 12 years.
 
What’s the coolest or most interesting thing you’re working on right now?
I love working with patients that are here for treatment at the hospital, yet they live internationally. I enjoy all of the complex equipment challenges and how much the hospital is able to improve a child’s life with the treatment provided.
 
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
I like to watch shows that make me laugh, like One Day at a Time and Marlon.
 
Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
That’s a tough one, probably a famous Christian musician like Lauren Daigle or TobyMac.
 
What is a fun or interesting fact about your hometown?
The second largest canyon in the United States, Palo Duro Canyon, is located right outside Amarillo’s city limits. It stretches 120 miles long, ranging from six to 20 miles wide and is more than 800 feet deep.

What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not working? 
My favorite thing to do when I’m not working is to spend quality time with my husband and our three daughters.
