Sports Medicine for the Young Athlete

Scottish Rite for Children presents the Sports Medicine for the Young Athlete, a one-day conference that will highlight common sports-related injuries and conditions, their etiology, identification, and management in pediatric and adolescent populations. Presenters will update providers on new developments and enhance their understanding of orthopedic and sports-related conditions pertinent to primary care settings and will feature opportunities to apply knowledge in clinical situations. The program will utilize demonstration labs and question/answer format in addition to presentations. Ample time will be allowed for discussion between the audience and the faculty.

Full course agenda will be added to the website when registration is open. Of five options, attendees will select three breakout sessions to learn musculoskeletal and concussion exam skills as well as injury prevention principles through live demonstration.

Target Audience:
This course is designed for pediatricians, family practitioners, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, athletic trainers, physical therapists and other health care professionals providing care to children.
