Amputee Ski Trip Spotlight: Diana, age 16 of Garland

Diana, age 16 of Garland, has been coming to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children since she was a baby. She’s wears a prosthesis on her right leg and had never been skiing or snowboarding before last year!
Diana’s looking forward to this year’s trip, as she’ll be able to connect with friends from last year and refine her skiing skills.

When asked who she looks up to the most, Diana says it’s her parents because of their dedicated work ethic and commitment to supporting their family.

Diana is the first member of her family to attend high school and she plans to attend college too. After college, she plans to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Her favorite animal is a dog, but we know she’ll take great care of all the others too! In addition to her commitment to academia, Diana has played the violin since the 6th grade and is an active member of her high school’s orchestra.
