Sports Medicine for the Young Athlete: How Do We Keep Our Kids Safe? Register

The conference is intended for pediatricians and other healthcare providers who work with young athletes. The program has been designed to focus on the prevention of injuries and sports-related conditions in young athletes. Breakout sessions include screenings and exams to identify musculoskeletal conditions and concerns.

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. ‘Session 4 - Ethical Considerations of Sport-Related Concussion,’ has been designated by The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for 1.25 credit in medical ethics and/or professional responsibility.

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center certifies that non-physicians will receive an attendance certificate stating that they participated in the activity that was designated for 6.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (BOC AP# P10092) is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum of 6.25 EBP Category hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

This activity has been approved by the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners for 6.25 CCUs for PTs and PTAs.
