Dyslexia 4-1-1 for Parents

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children will be hosting informative seminars at no charge for parents of a child with a diagnosis of a learning disorder. Our purpose is to empower parents with a wealth of knowledge they can use to advocate for their child today and for years to come. The following seminar is available for parents:​ Dyselxia 4-1-1.

This event is free of charge. Come to this seminar to learn facts and debunk myths about dyslexia.

This seminar is designed for parents of a student identified with dyslexia who want more information on dyslexia, laws, intervention and accommodation support.

This session will include:

  • An in-depth study of the definition and characteristics of dyslexia
  • TEA Dyslexia handbook and how it applies to parents
  • Parents role in supporting the use of accommodations for students with dyslexia
  • Understanding the components and delivery of an effective intervention model

Registration is required prior to the event. Check in begins at 8:30 a.m.
